We collect minimal information necessary to provide our service:
- Device Identifier (MAC Address): Used to identify your device for license activation. Generated locally on your device.
- Email Address: Only if you contact us or make a purchase through Paddle.
- Payment Information: Processed entirely by Paddle (our payment provider). We never see or store your credit card details.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect your viewing history
- We do NOT collect your playlist URLs or content
- We do NOT collect your location data
- We do NOT collect personal information beyond what is listed above
- We do NOT sell any data to third parties
3. How We Use Your Information
- To activate and manage your device license
- To sync your playlists between the website and the app
- To provide customer support
- To process payments (via Paddle)
4. Data Storage
Your device identifier and playlist configuration are stored securely on our servers (Supabase, hosted in EU). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted.
5. Third-Party Services
- Paddle: Payment processing. See Paddle's Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare: Website hosting and security
- TMDB: Movie/TV metadata (no personal data shared)
6. Data Retention
We retain your device information for as long as your license is active. If you wish to delete your data, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.

You have the right to:
- Request access to your data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
8. Children's Privacy
VBO Player is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
